- Make ready 250 gm whole barley (joo or jaw)

- Get 3 tbsp dhaniya (coriander powder)
- Make ready 1/2 cup ginger garlic paste
- Make ready 4 tbsp zeera (cumin seeds)
- Prepare 2 tbsp garam masala
- Prepare 5-6 Bay leaves (taiz pata)
- Prepare 1 tbsp Jaifal Javtri powder
- Prepare 10-12 Green chillies
- Make ready 375 gm yogurt
- Take 1 tbsp red chilli powder
- Make ready 1 kg onion

Instructions to make Haleem OR Daleem:
- Step 1: wash & soak whole wheat & jaw for 3 to 4 hours then cook on a medium heat for 3-4 hours, ghotofy time by time so it doesn’t stick on bottom
- Step 2: soak chana dal separately for 30 minutes n then cook until tender, then mashed it (fine paste) set aside
- Step 3: Soak remaining lentils & Rice for 30 minutes, cook until tender then mashed it (fine paste) set aside
- Step 4: wash meat & bones - Take a pan add meat & bones bhonofy with 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste when it’s water evaporates & slightly change in colour add water with Kashmiri mirch, haldi, dhaniya, taiz pata & green chillies cook until meat tender, discard bones & taiz pata,shredd meat (set aside)., save yakni (set aside)
- Step 5: Take a big pan mix all things together (until we cooked) except meat, mix it all
- Step 6: ghotofy,ghotofy& ghotofy continuesly
- Step 7: now add shredded meat& mix it well
- Step 8: repeat step 6 🙈
- Step 9: meanwhile in a separate pan heat 1 cup oil add onions when it’s golden brown (save half for garnishing) then add zeera, yogurt, Red chilli powder bhonofy well when oil separated add this tarka in haleem mixture& mix it well
- Step 10: add jaifal javtri & garam masala powder in haleem mix it well
- Step 11: repeat step 6 (more ghotofy more tasty)
- Step 12: place a red hot charcoal on aluminium cupcakes liner then put this cup on haleem dizzle some drops of oil on charcoal n quickly cover the lid completely for at least 5 -10 minutes. After that remove cup mix it well
- Step 13: garnish with ginger, fired onion, fresh green chillies & fresh green coriander & mint
- Step 14: serve hot with Naan or shermal - - I hope u like & appreciate the recipe with little message of planting trees for our future generations
